Connections, Muir’s Chapel Program Director

Why do you do the work you do?
Having a heart to serve, it is my pleasure to provide respite care for families and to create a loving, accepting environment for their loved ones.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love getting to know our members and their families and bringing joy into their lives.

Why is the type of work you do so important?
Families who are caring for a loved one with memory loss need respite care in order to take care of their own needs and receive support in order to be better caregivers.

What difference do you feel our service – and your work – makes for those we serve and their loved ones?
Our services not only provide support for the families but for their loved ones as well. Members enjoy conversation with staff and other members, are cognitively engaged, and use motor skills through exercise and activities – which prolongs their ability to remain in their home.
