Director of Caregiver Outreach and Non-Clinical Team Member Education

Why do you do the work you do?
I have studied gerontology and have always enjoyed my work with aging adults and their families. At Well-Spring Solutions, we are helping to make a positive impact in the lives of family caregivers and those they care for, which is a real gift.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy the growing relationships with caregivers and their loved ones, fellow team members and community partners.

Why is the type of work you do so important?
Family caregiving really takes its toll; it can be complex, exhausting and rewarding. Caregivers need access to meaningful information, helpful resources, respite, understanding and emotional support; this is what we offer through caregiver education and support programming.

What difference do you feel our service – and your work – makes for those we serve and their loved ones?
Caregivers realize they are not alone and understand when they can connect and safely share difficult emotions in support groups. At caregiver education opportunities, they receive valuable information from professional experts and, generally, really appreciate the importance of practicing self-care, which their loved one greatly benefits from.
